Privacy Policy
Southwest Creatives (“we”, “us”) is a directory of independent creatives in the South West of England, operated from the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.
What we collect
If you browse the site without an account, we collect nothing that identifies you.
If you create an account, we collect your email address and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and never visible to us).
If you create a profile, we collect what you choose to give us: your name, bio, location (town and county), photographs and images of your work, social media handles and links, and availability status.
What's public
Your profile is designed to be public. Your name, bio, county, town, work images, projects and links are visible to anyone on the internet once your profile is approved. The email address you sign in with is never shown on your profile. If you choose to add a public contact email, it's used for the “Get in touch” button on your profile, which opens the visitor's email client addressed to you.
Where your data lives
Account data and profile content are stored with Supabase in the European Union. Uploaded images are stored with Cloudflare R2 in Western Europe. We do not transfer your data outside the UK and EEA.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter — either through the form in the footer, or by ticking the newsletter box when you create an account — your email address is shared with MailerLite, our email provider, to send it. We only add you if you ask us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, images and personal data are deleted. Backups may persist for a short period before being overwritten.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, or object to how it's used. Most of this you can do yourself by editing or deleting your profile. For anything else, contact us at hello@southwestcreatives.co.ukand we'll respond within one month.
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll note it here and, where appropriate, email account holders.
