What's Southwest Creatives?
Southwest Creatives is a community hub for independent creatives across the South West of England. If you offer a creative service and you're based in the region, there's a place for you here. Whether people can hire you, commission you, book you for a workshop or team up with you on a project, you belong.
The South West has always had an incredible creative scene. The problem is it's been almost impossible to navigate from the outside. Brilliant talent scattered across the region, most of it only discoverable if you already know someone who knows someone. That goes for creatives too. Finding the right illustrator for your book, the right developer for your idea or the right musician for your film shouldn't come down to luck.
The platforms haven't solved this. Instagram buries your work minutes after you post it, rewards whoever posts most rather than whoever's best, and was never built for finding local talent. Being findable shouldn't depend on feeding an algorithm.
So this is a place where you can find someone by what they do and where they are, see their work properly, and reach out directly. Hire them, collaborate with them, or just meet the people making good work near you.

Who's it for?
Anyone looking for creative talent, and any creative who wants to be found.
If you're hiring, you get someone local, someone you can actually meet. If you're a creative, you get a permanent place on the web where the right people can find you, and a way to find the other half of your next project. And plenty of people here are on both sides of that at once.

Who's behind it?
Southwest Creatives is built and run by Henry Taylor, a web developer based in Devon. It started because finding good creative people down here was harder than it should be, so he built the thing he wanted to use. He's on the directory too.
